On the anniversary of my son coming home
Fifteen years ago today, my son came home from the hospital. He had been born five weeks early after an induced labor and relaxed delivery that took barely an hour. He was a peanut. Five pounds.
As was the protocol, immediately after delivery, he was whisked off to the NICU as a precaution.
