Mike- I've been a subscriber for a long time. Sometimes, that has been euphoric, revelatory. Sometimes it has been frustrating. You disappeared without a trace for month after month, while we subscribers kept paying. We know you were having a tough go of it and we're glad to help out, but we're not made of money. Then you finally reappear only to write, time after time, about planning to write something of substance without ever actually writing much of substance (other to repeat how badly you've been hurt and how much you want to be better). All understandable, but frustrating for those of us still waiting for the authentic you to write again. So maybe don't overthink this. Don't wait until you have a whole book for us, or even a novella. Short stories work for most of us. We wish you well. We hope you start showing up here more regularly soon. By the way, how's your boy?
Looking forward to the next “chapter”. Been at the table since it was originally cobbled. Glad you are not “throwing away your shot”. ( has to use the reference since I had the pleasure of seeing it again this week in NYC ;) )
