Hello there, good people. I am, at long last, back on the East Coast and writing as East Coast Writers do. The past month has been crazy. I think I’ve slept in my own bed a grand total of four nights. It has been a month of wild pendulum swings between terrible and terrific but we’ll get to that in due time.
WELP - been following you on the tweetler for a bit now...the whole anti-trump thing is how I found you. Anyway - this awesome story pushed me to subscribe. LOVE IT!
I can’t believe my good fortune finding you here along with so many other OG refugees from twitter. I’m gagged and so happy. I was one of your early followers over there( we followed each other and it was an honour). I left the first day of the takeover and have been on Post. I had been subscribed to Substack but only learned of the App yesterday 🤷🏽♀️So relieved to find my people here and our community. Your written voice speaks my own. I’m going to be quite busy finding and following more other OG’s here. And yes, nothing makes me happier than seeing and making others happy. Giving smiles is kinda my thingy 😊😉✨🧚🏿♀️☮️🌈🗳️💙🇺🇸

I don't have a lawn but if I did, I could see myself as the old guy in the movie about a Vietnam Vet who befriends a Vietnamese boy...I forgot what I was saying.

Oddly, I followed you on Twitter when it was a real thing. Then, I signed up for your Substack as a paid subscriber back when you decided to put real effort into your writing. I caught a tag on a recent post of yours and tried to read it but discovered that, for some reason, I was no longer a subscriber. Anyway, I resubscribed and am back. I enjoyed this post and have followed @wolfiesmom as well on Twitter.
Congrats on the new relationship. No doubt it will bring you both much joy and for that I am so glad. I do worry a bit about an onslaught - like Mike's club is going public after a great beginning as a small successful family business. But you deserve all the success - your writing has been a blessing and often a balm for our lately scratched and hampered souls. Maybe it can be so for a greater audience now. All the best to you and your sweet Valerie. And don't forget to take care of yourself. And, as a side note, hope your son is doing well and adapting to what is likely a crazy new phase in his life too. --jmh
